Guest Blogger

From time to time I will invite someone to write a Guest Blog for Hill-Walking For The Over 60s.  Occasionally someone will come forward and offer to write a blog.

These are my Guest Bloggers:

Roddie Grantdiscusses staying at a YHA for the first time, as an older Gentleman He comes up with an unbiased opinion of the modern day YHA for the older traveller.  This is a ‘no holes barred’ narrative

Judy Haynesexplains how a chance discussion lead to the creation of group dedicated to preserving the Public Rights Of Way around their Village and taking a few organised walks.

Bruce Donaldsontalks about how he prepared for a retirement full of adventures.  An interesting story that shows that retirement is not about sitting back and putting your feet up.

Karts Huseonicaexamines the physical and mental psychology of training for and partaking in long distance trails.  A fascinating in-sight from a remarkable individual.

Prof. Raeleen Mautner“Aging Happy: How to Knock the Nonsense and Enjoy the Best Years of Your Life”, fights anti-aging stereotypes and inspires readers to live with meaning, passion, and confidence–at any age.

John PenningtonI met my guest blogger John on Twitter one evening when Julia Bradbury had responded to a Tweet of his.  He had been tweeting about a series of canal walks that he, his wife and their two friends  had undertaken.

Sarah Whiting (Craft Invaders) – I am delighted to be able to introduce fellow Ordnance Survey #GetOutside Champion Sarah Whiting, of Craft Invaders, who has used her child related crafty skills to produce a great guest post for our blog.

If you would like to join their ranks then please drop me an email stating who you are and what you would like to write a blog about.

Remember it has to be related to walking and outdoor activities for the over 60s.  It can be about equipment that you use, techniques you have used or about what you do as an over 60s outdoor adventurer.

Just let me know and I will get back to you.  You will have to provide 2-3 photos of yourself and be prepared to have your story advertised on Twitter and Instagram.
